A different sort of approach
At our first meeting we will be trying to find out all about you. We'll also welcome the chance to chat with you, be it over the phone, over a cup of coffee or lunch. And since we'll be mainly listening to you, don't expect to be billed for such chats.
Our staff - just as we want to enjoy working with our clients, we also want to enjoy working with our staff. Because if we like our staff, we think you might too!
Service standards - we will always respond to your enquiries within 24 hours and ensure we are always accessible: either by email or on the phone. We aim to deliver a prompt and efficient service And we hate missing deadlines, so whilst we don't really like nagging, sometimes we just have to. It helps you!
Tax planning - as part of the service, we will carry out a tax planning review every year to ensure you are maximizing the opportunities available to you.
Fees - no surprises! We prefer to work on the basis of fixed fees for specific services, with agreed payment terms; but we also offer our clients the option of being billed on an hourly rate (and we are happy to make our hourly rates and time records available to you). We encourage clients to set up monthly standing orders, ideally so that half the year you are in credit and half the year in debt; this works particularly well with clients working on a fixed fee basis. Otherwise we expect payment within 7 days of the fee note date.
However, if this would be a problem, we are also able to offer clients the use of a loan facility to settle our fees, so that whilst you can choose to pay it off over 10 months, we'll be paid right away: so there's no strain on our relationship.
And when you become a client you may qualify for insurance against the cost of tax investigations, so if the HM Revenue and Customs randomly select you, at least you won't have to worry about our fees.
Do you want to know when we're open? In some respects we're always open! You can have access to your records 24/7 via our document management system, so whenever you want to get a copy of your accounts or your business plan, just log on to your private area of our web-site.
As a small business, we are often asked what happens when we're on holiday. Well, there'll always be someone in the office to take your calls and if it's really urgent, you'll be able to call us on our mobiles or send us an email.
